Our vision is to enable meaningful travel, so with each guest trip we arrange to Namibia, a socio-economic balance is created and each visitor achieves a real added value for him/herself and the destination.

We help with "mind, heart and hand" wherever it is needed. The specially established TUTUTENGO-'SinnStiftung' follows with all its actions the goal of giving something back to the people in Namibia. Through their hospitality they give us insights into their personal lifestyles. Our mission is therefore to improve the living conditions of these people.

By this we mean not only short-term donations, but rather measures that lead to improved prospects in terms of jobs, optimisation of ecosystems, youth education, etc. We pay particular attention to the living conditions of Namibian children and young people, who make up 35 percent of the population and are under the age of 14. Without support, their prospects for the future are often dramatic. Teaching young people self-confidence, personal responsibility and entrepreneurship is a special passion of TUTUTENGO.

 

Power of doing — Aid projects with real added value

There are already a large number of TUTUTENGO aid projects - and the trend is rising:

Supporting disadvantaged families in townships, improving infrastructure and health care in the country, promoting social and sporting activities for children and young people. We also support and establish start-ups to create jobs and strengthen independent entrepreneurship in the country. We are currently designing our first gastronomic facility and setting up the TUTUTENGO Future Workshop in Swakopmund, among other things for the construction of prefabricated township homes.

  • »Baby in the box«

    We share a deep solidarity with Ronel Peters from Ruach Elohim Foundation Swakopmund, - also called "BABY IN THE BOX" - a rescue centre for dumped babies.

    We are aware that we cannot change the world, but to support Ronal by providing baby clothes, nappies and financial donations will help her to take good care of the babies until they are transferred into the arms of new loving adoptive parents.

  • Soupkitchen Township

    The soup kitchens have an important care function for a large number of children in the townships. Good souls cook here as often as they possibly are able.

    But unfortunately the food is not available every day - food donations or financial contributions often fail to materialise. There is a lack of a continuous support system. We are working to improve continuity and support through regular food donations.

  • Young talents »Namib Daugthers«

    A young football team with girls and women aged between 14 and 27 with great sporting potential, for whom football provides strong personal support.

    The sport manages to give them a daily structure. Training consistency not only teaches discipline, but also teamwork and self-efficacy. For us, this commitment is linked to the clear goal of developing their professional vision with the young women - on the field, but essentially also off it.

  • Kids' programm township Mondesa

    Our kids' programme in the townships dispels hopelessness and helps us to maintain contact and trust with the people living in these areas.

    Close to the people, we quickly recognise where there is a lack of essential things. And it is simply a great joy to look into the shining eyes of the children, when we spend time with all of them.

  • Improve infrastructure

    We support access to water as well as the renovation and construction of new huts in the self-made principle.

    By applying well-planned construction concepts, we provide help towards self-help with an extremely low cost of materials, so that people can actually start to improve their housing situation in the countryside and in townships. In our TUTUTENGO Future Workshop Swakopmund, we develop prefabricated building systems and implement sustainable housing solutions together with the residents.

How can you help?

 

»Contribute« by travelling

5 % of the value of the trip is donated to the aid projects in Namibia through a proportionate waiver of profit on our part. It is ensured that every contribution is used specifically by the team on a personal mission. TUTUTENGO travellers have the opportunity to gain an insight into the TUTUTENGO SinnStiftungs projects on site. Travelling with TUTUTENGO " feels good"!
